Already a Champion prize winner at the Royal Welsh Agricultural foal show in Wales, Grenadier was originally imported to Canada in 1994 .
Grenadier has a top drawer pedigree. Sired by the lovely champion bay stallion Cadlan Valley Gamestar (Spain), whose sire is the well known and prolific Royal Welsh Champion stallion Thornberry Gamekeeper (dec) and who's dam is the up-to-height black Champion mare Weston Louisa. Grenadier's dam, Eyarth Arabella, a top prize winner herself produces consistent winners, and is by the 13.0hh pony Eyarth Celebration, another Royal Welsh winner, who is sired by the infamous Keston Royal Occasion. Approximately one half of Grenadier's pedigree on both sides involves old Weston breeding.
Grenadier has great presence and elegance. A pony with a beautiful head well set on to an extravagant length of rein, tons of flat bone, and easy relaxed hunter gaits. Lightly shown since importation with success. Some of his more prestigious wins include Championships at the Syracuse Welsh Show, New York, U.S.A and The 1998 Royal Winter Fair Champion section B Stallion championship. He was reserve at the Royal the following year in 1999 and then Grand Champion Sec B stallion in a strong class of six imported Quality stallions in 2000, and more recently Grand Champion Stallion at the Pennmarydel Welsh Show in 2003.
